Rumors are flying around about MBTA painting up heritage units as part of the F40 rebuild program. While out filming in June I came across F40 1030 in black paint supposedly awaiting shipment to Rochester, MA for a special paint job. Time will tell what it'll look like but for now enjoy this clip of the unit before paint.
