“I’m sure my bees have enough nectar and honey in both the brood box and medium super. But as extra insurance, I added a top feeder shim with sugar and pollen.

The top feeder shim is insulated to minimize heat loss from the hive over the frigid winter months.

The bees are now tucked away and I’ll probably be able to conduct my next inspection probably in April.”
