The most exquisite form of origami is the act of folding from an unpolished square. The commencing sheet may be altered by form, even when the single-sheet folding is uncut. Each form is composed of Euclidean paper, which facilitates effortless cutting from a flat piece. Traditional origami has distinctive folding techniques, including "reverse folds," "rabbit ear folds," and "sink folds." Certain formations, such as "closed sink folds," require supplementary creases for their development. Understanding the manipulation of paper and the principles of folding are essential competencies for students in both scientific and artistic disciplines, extensively taught at CCL.
