1-6-2026: KCSM SD70ACe 4073 & CP SD70ACU 7045 Lead NS 287 By Edgewood Ave - Macon, GA

Another morning, another NS 287 caught. A rare and neat lash up to see around here on that morning's NS 287: a KCSM thunder cab SD70ACe leading a CP SD70ACU. Both came in on NS 29F the previous morning. I didn't film the whole train as it came to a stop after this was filmed. I also had been sick for some time and had it/personal stuff to tend to take care of afterwards.

Word of advice: take care of yourself. Especially your health. If you don't do so or care, no one will.

0:00 Train #1: NS 287 (Ex NS 23N) - KCSM SD70ACe 4073 and CP SD70ACU 7045 (Rebuilt from CP SD9043MAC 9154 by Progress Rail) lead a northbound intermodal train by Edgewood Ave in Macon, GA destined for Memphis, TN (UP). Filmed on January 6th, 2026.

Notes: Both units came south the previous morning intermodal train NS 29F. This is the 2nd time seeing a KCSM SD70ACe leader and the 2nd time seeing KCSM 4073 as I saw it trailing 2nd on NS 24A two days prior.
