Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh has released the official PhD Admission 2026 notification for candidates eligible for PhD admission with entrance examination exemption as per UGC Regulation 2022 and university Regulation 224. The application process is open from 6th February 2026 to 20th February 2026, and eligible candidates must submit the offline application form at the respective university department or affiliated research center before the deadline. Applicants can also send the form by post to the concerned research center within the prescribed dates.

The PhD admission is open in a wide range of disciplines including Hindi, English, Linguistics, Sanskrit, Library and Information Science, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Public Administration, History, Ancient Indian History, Psychology, Home Science, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, Zoology, Bioscience, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Anthropology, Physical Education, Pharmacy, Management, Commerce, Law, Education, and Regional Studies. Subject-wise research centers are notified by the university and candidates must submit applications to the relevant center.

Candidates eligible for entrance exam exemption include those who have qualified UGC NET JRF, UGC CSIR NET JRF, GATE, CEED, GPAT or similar national level fellowships, university or affiliated college teachers with at least two years of service, recognized research institution scientists with two years of experience, and candidates qualified in NET, SET, or equivalent examinations for PhD admission as specified by the university. Eligible applicants will be shortlisted by the Departmental Research Committee and called for interview; final selection will be prepared subject-wise by the departmental research committee after interviews.

The application form can be downloaded from the university website and must be submitted along with an application fee of Rs. 1000, payable online to the university fund or through a bank draft in favor of the Registrar, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. Applicants must also scan the prescribed QR code to submit required information online and attach the response printout with the application form at the time of submission.
