Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning as well as 6 airbags are all standard. This particular car also has a towbar fitted.

Powered by the ultra frugal 1.5L 4 cylinder turbodiesel that may have been around for many years, this engine delivers 81kW and 260Nm to the front wheels through a slick 6 speed manual transmission.

Renowned for fuel economy it gave 4.4l/100km on our fuel route and 5.3l/100km overall for the test period. Considering that the Qashqai is a comfortable and spacious crossover/SUV, the figure is exceptional.

As a used car, I couldn't detect any flaws on the interior or exterior and the overall condition was as new.

With a current new price of R497 300, the asking price of R439 900 represents an absolute bargain to me. The balance of the 5 year/ 150 000km warranty and 3 year/ 90 000km service plans will transfer to the new owner.
