This Sunday, we will be finishing our two part New Years series. Last week we fleshed out what it means to not let the past control our present. God gave us a direct command: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
This week we see another divine imperative: do not worry. Where as last week dealt with the past, this week concerns the future. Most of our fears and worries tend to concern the future and the “what ifs” of life. They also stem from misplaced priorities in our life. Is God and His plans for us at the top of our priorities or is He further down the list buried by our material concerns?
I hope you’ll join us this Sunday (it’s not supposed to snow!), as we unpack Jesus’ words of wisdom and comfort concerning how to navigate worry and anxiety and on what really matters in life.
