Описание: It’s been a while since we presented FoCoMX: Public Trust and so the time seemed ripe to catch up with Fort Collins Hip Hop duo BBMC. In the midst of a busy summer playing tons of shows, the group also managed to release a new EP called MASAMUNE. Ramone answers everyone’s aching question about the EP’s name: “Gorō Nyūdō Masamune was one of the greatest sword smiths in Japan. He created a sword called Masamune which is essentially a giant “holy” sword that is said not to cut through anything innocent… like a sword, words can cut through many things but we hope our words bring truth, clarity, and honesty with our music.“
Asked about the creation of the songs, Ramone explains, “We relied heavily on some hip hop roots and focused a lot on flexing our lyrical capabilities while showcasing our personalities with the musical side. It was such a pleasure to create this and watch it come to fruition with the help of Mike Davis of Koncept Jewel on the production side.”
With a couple really fun shows coming up, you can catch BBMC at New Belgium THIS FRIDAY November 11th along with Riley Sabrana of Young Habitat. Or see them perform on December 9th at New Belgium with “our Groundwaves family!”
