Lustre and Gold Decal Kiln Opening - Shiny Golden Bees/Mother of Pearl Lustre (Pottery Tutorial)

Описание: In this video we unload a lustre/decal firing containing some pieces which I have added special effects to in the form of mother-of-pearl lustre and gold overglaze decals. These pieces have already had their bisque firing and glaze firing and have then been fired a third time.

Using Midge, my small plug-in Rohde kiln, I explain the firing programme I use for this firing which has a top temperature of 800 degrees centigrade.

I use Colorobbia Iris mother-of-pearl lustre and discuss the trials and errors of using lustre thinners.

The gold overglaze decals were purchased from Milestone Decal Art (www.milestonedecalart.com)
