Hike Flattop Mountain (12,324 FT) & Gain 2,849 FT in Elevation / Rocky Mountain National Park ~ CO

Описание: Flattop Mountain stands at 12,324 ft in elevation, and the summit is also the starting point for hiking up Hallets Peak. The trail starts at 9,475 feet, so it's a pretty stiff hike with an elevation gain of 2,849 ft over 8.8 miles. (If you visit other websites, you'll find that the distance and elevation gain/loss varies from site to site). This trail has become more popular with the invention of apps like All-Trails, which can't always be trusted so do your research first, and please don't underestimate this hike. Hikers need to take into account their level of fitness and how much time they have had to adjust to the altitude, and also the weather (lighting, storms, snow, etc) and trail experience. This is a strenuous hike, and things do go wrong up here!
