I surfaced from a picture-world stitched out of crowds and color, the kind of old spell where the enemy is your own wandering eye. In the Monk Battle I learned to hunt patterns instead of faces, stripes, spectacles, a red cap flickering between bodies like a signal fire. On the Carpet Flyers and the Giants’ ground, the noise only grew, and I kept my breath steady, letting the scene settle until Waldo revealed himself by mistake.
Underground was the cruelest, tight corridors, packed bodies, and that creeping pressure of the clock. I took one Hint clock to map the trick of it, then I reset the dive and went in clean. No clocks, no borrowed seconds, expert focus only. Land of Waldos tried to drown me in copies, but I held the thread, found the true mark, and ended the hunt in a single, unbroken session.
I brought back a small companion too, Waldo’s dog, proof that even in crowded ruins, loyalty hides in plain sight.
