Описание: A major infrastructure setback has been reported from Manipur, where a Bailey bridge over the Tuivai River has collapsed in the Churachandpur district.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when the bridge—located between Sinzawl and Khuanggin along National Highway 102B—gave way while two trucks loaded with cement were crossing it.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

However, the collapse has severely impacted a crucial supply route connecting Churachandpur with Silchar and via Mizoram, raising concerns over the movement of essential goods in the region.

Authorities have begun restoration work, aiming to restore connectivity at the earliest. Meanwhile, the disruption is expected to affect supply chains until repairs are completed and traffic is resumed.
