Which Fractional Gold Coin Makes Heaviest Stack? (not what you think)

Collectively, what weighs more? All the 1/2 ounce gold coins sold that year or all the 1/10? Or do all the fractional 1/4 gold eagles weigh more? And how about the total annual weight of the full ounce gold coins?

Is it better to save your money and buy a lower premium full ounce sized American Gold Eagle or to buy a fractional AGE each month instead.

As a gold stacker there's a tradeoff to buying gold at the lowest premium versus buying smaller gold coins but on a more frequent basis. If you are buying gold as a hedge against inflation, it is a great strategy to buy gold consistently over many years, but what size gold should you buy?

I look at 3 years of historical gold coin sales data from the US Mint to see in a given year which size gold coin adds up to the biggest weight as a stack? Then over a five year period, are gold coin Sales Increasing ?
