The Indapur Assembly constituency in Maharashtra has a rich electoral history. In the 2014 Assembly elections, Dattatray Vithoba Bharne of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the seat by securing 108,400 votes, or 49.72% of the total. He defeated Harshavardhan Shahajirao Patil of the Indian National Congress (INC), who received 94,227 votes, or 43.22%.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, Dattatray Vithoba Bharne again emerged victorious for the NCP, winning with 114,960 votes, or 49.23% of the total. He defeated Harshavardhan Shahajirao Patil of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 73,770 votes, or approximately 31.57%.
In the 2024 Assembly elections, Dattatray Vithoba Bharne of the NCP continued his winning streak, securing 117,236 votes, or 44.24% of the total. He defeated Harshvardhan Shahajirao Patil, who was running under the NCP-SP alliance, by a margin of 19,410 votes. Patil received 97,826 votes, or 36.92%.
Historically, the NCP has won this constituency three times, while the INC has won it five times since the 1978 elections. The Indapur Assembly constituency falls under the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency.
