Tap & Track: A social innovation improving water service in Uganda

Описание: In January 2025, the NGO Practica officially launched its Tap & Track project in collaboration with GOAL Uganda. Their shared mission is to co-create a safer, greener and more reliable water service, starting in Uganda, with a vision to expand across the Global South.

Over the past few months, user-centred design workshops have been conducted by both implementing partners. These sessions brought together area service providers, such as Everflow Supplies Inc., International Lifeline Fund, Eastern Umbrella and Water Compass, alongside future app users, hand pump mechanics, plumbers and managers. The goal was to understand their respective needs and collaboratively identify solutions.

This innovation is part of the EU-funded Digital and Green Innovation (DGI) programme and receives support from the Enabel Innovation Hub in its scaling trajectory. Discover in this video what water pumps are and how this project contributes to improving water services in Uganda.
