The Macintosh IIsi: Can I Finish the Power Supply & Repair a Logic Board? (Computerized Start™ Live)

Описание: The Macintosh IIsi was launched as a lower-cost alternative in the Macintosh II series. To keep costs down, Apple used more electrolytic capacitors, and the surface-mount electrolytic capacitors from the early 90s are past their expected lifetime. In addition, despite the power supply being made by Sony, the capacitors in it are also known to leak (though I can't help think "cost tweaking" by Apple led Sony to use lower grade capacitors).

Due to the extent of the damage to the original power supply, I ordered PCBs to construct a replacement power supply that fits in the original power supply case. I need to finish assembling that power supply, including making a few mods to it to improve performance (in a "make sure there is a ground connection kinda way).

Once I've done that, I need to start the process of locating faults.

Will I trip the circuit breaker? Will I find the cause of the vertical lines? Did I order the correct 74ALS245 package type? You'll have to watch to find out!
