OVP used confidential funds to buy groceries, tables, printers - witness | ABS-CBN News

Описание: A revised accomplished report from the Office of the Vice-President retained many discrepancies and missing documentation including no documentary evidence of payments on her use of confidential funds, prompting the Commission on Audit to issue a supplemental audit observation memorandum.

COA state auditor Roderick Wamil noted that instead of documentary evidence, the OVP submitted acknowledgement receipts that rewards were paid “in cash, in medicine and in various goods” including groceries.

Some of the funds, he said, were used to buy tables, chairs and desktop computers and printers.

“Lahat po nung kanilang payment of rewards ay walang naka-attach na any document supporting the success of the information gathering activity or surveillance activity on account of the information given by the informer,” he said.

“‘Yung binili nila na tables and chairs and desktop printers and computers. Pero yung supporting document lang po nun ay acknowledgment receipt instead of official receipts or sales invoices…Hindi po nila in-indicate if those purchases were really intended for the confidential operations of the OVP.”
