I’m thrilled to have my very own worm farm!
⠀⠀⠀
After finally setting up my compost bin, then my bokashi bins.. I figured why not go all out and set up a wormery too! 🤭

Just a couple of points to mention:
• Worm castings are produced through a process called vermicomposting. This is the consumption and decomposition of organic waste via earthworms and microbes, producing a rich compost that can be used to fertilise your plants!
• When the first working tray is full, it’s time to add the second tray. The worms should migrate into that one leaving your first free for harvesting.
• Make sure you’re feeding a diverse diet to your worms. Lots of fruit and veg scraps, cardboard, coffee ground and teabags to name a few.

This is my first time setting up a worm farm and I’m no expert but if you’ve got any questions, please do let me know in the comments and I’ll try answer.
