There's a framed Oreo cookie on Roberto Salas's shelf — a memento from the "Dunk in the Dark" tweet that launched a thousand thought pieces during the 2013 Super Bowl blackout. He was there. The scrappy instinct behind that moment became the DNA of Young Hero.
Eight years ago, Salas founded the creator-led agency with partners Nick and Zoe in Williamsburg, New York. Their model is built on casting — assembling bespoke teams of strategists, creators and directors who reflect the audience of every brief.
When Lululemon needed a pride campaign in 2023, the entire Young Hero team reflected the LGBTQ+ community. When Ro needed GLP-1 campaigns, Charles Barkley was in the room co-writing scripts. That's not a typical agency process.
