People new to the CPA exam and the licensing system are often confused by the many terms in the industry – what exactly is CPA certificate, and is it the same as the license? If not, what are the difference in terms of privilege or ways to get either of them?
In this video, we went through the exact definition of the two terms under different scenarios. We also discussed why it is getting harder to get the CPA certificate, and why you should aim for the full license. We also talk about the specific case for international candidates, on why they aim for the CPA title for credentials only and whether there is a way not to get the full license because they don’t need the title really for its primary use, that is, to sign an audit report or to launch a CPA firm.
