Recovering of National Park de Meinweg

Описание: The Meinweg National Park is located in the southern part of the Netherlands, near the German border. In April 2020, a fire broke out in the park, which burned down a significant part of the forest. The fire was caused by a combination of drought, high temperatures, and human activity. It took several days for the firefighters to extinguish the flames.

The fire destroyed a large area of the forest, including several rare and endangered plant and animal species. The burnt trees and other vegetation have been left to decay naturally, which will help to create new habitats for wildlife in the long term.

Despite the devastation caused by the fire, the Meinweg National Park remains open to visitors, and there are several hiking trails that offer an opportunity to see the "Remains of a burned Forest" up close. The park authorities are also working on a reforestation plan, which will involve planting new trees and other vegetation in the burned areas to restore the forest to its former glory.
