First named the Cape of Storms by Bartolomeu Dias in 1488, it was later renamed by King John II of Portugal. Sir Francis Drake famously described it as “the fairest cape in all the world”. Both sites are home to wildlife such as eland, bontebok, red hartebeest, and zebra.
