I picked up what might be the cheapest LS1 Trans Am on Facebook Marketplace, and in this video I go through everything I found right and wrong with it. This isn’t a WS6, but it does have the WS6 hood and wheels, plus the desirable LS1 V8 and T56 6-speed manual transmission. From the blown transmission and bad fuel pump, to the sketchy hidden nitrous setup and the nightmare of getting it smog legal in California, this car has already been a journey.
I’ll show you the surprises I found in the engine bay, the rust issues, the torched interior, and the work it took to keep the car on the road. Along the way I swapped in another T56, fixed leaks, and tracked down original emissions parts just to pass smog.
