Terrorism Statistics According to the report, in 2024, the banned organizations Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were the most active in carrying out terrorist attacks.

Approximately 300 people lost their lives in TTP attacks. In organized attacks by BLA, 225 people were killed.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were the most affected, with over 95% of the attacks being recorded in these regions. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 295 incidents were reported, and in Balochistan, 171 incidents took place.

Increase in Attacks by Baloch Separatist Groups There was a significant 119% increase in attacks by Baloch separatist groups, particularly BLA and Baloch Liberation Front (BLF). These attacks have not only posed a threat to Balochistan but also to other parts of the country.

In 2024, 358 law enforcement personnel lost their lives.

Situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa The situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been deteriorating further. The Hafiz Gul Bahadur group has emerged as a significant threat in Bannu and Waziristan.

According to the report, in Bannu, a major attack on a military check post in Maliyah Khail resulted in the death of 12 soldiers, which is a clear example of this growing threat. The alliance between Lashkar-e-Islam and TTP has worsened the situation in the Khyber district.

This region is of great importance due to its proximity to Peshawar, but local residents are deeply concerned about the increasing presence of militants.

Situation in Other Provinces Now, let's talk about other provinces. In Sindh, there were 12 incidents of terrorism, 10 of which took place in Karachi.

In Punjab, there were 11 terrorist attacks, which is a significant increase compared to 6 attacks the previous year. In these attacks, 6 people were killed, and 12 others were injured.

Current Situation and Future Concerns The report clearly indicates that after the Taliban's takeover of Kabul in 2021, terrorist incidents in Pakistan began to increase. If the situation continues, we may face a situation as dangerous as it was before 2014. The difference is that now terrorists do not control any specific area, but insecurity remains widespread.

This situation has become a major challenge, not only for security forces but also for the government.
