Welcome to this 60-minute session designed to stretch and strengthen your entire body using a chair!
In this practice, we go beyond simple stretching to focus on building functional strength from a seated and supported position. This is a full-body flow designed to tone the muscles, improve posture, and increase core stability—all while using a chair for support.
In this practice, we explore:
Core Engagement: Building a strong center for better balance.
Lower Body Strength: Seated leg lifts and "Chair-to-Stand" power moves.
Upper Body Tone: Mindful arm movements and seated sun salutations to build heat.
Functional Mobility: Improving your range of motion for daily activities.
Breathwork & Relaxation: Ending with a seated Savasana to integrate the work.
What you’ll need:
A sturdy chair (preferably without arms)
A quiet space
Practice with me in person or live online: I lead Chair Yoga every Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM at 310 Wellness on Main in Stonewall. We also stream this class live via Zoom!
