Описание: Today, we are visiting the oldest theme park in America: Lake Compounce. This amusement park was founded in 1846 and boasts both a water park and amusement!

We tricked the kids into thinking that we were going on a 3-hour long walking history tour of Connecticut so that we could surprise them with this fun day. The past few weeks have been full of old towns and historical attractions so it wasn't hard to convince them. And, it was hilarious hearing them go on and on about who in the world loves this much history.

Neither Keren or I are amusement park people, and I would quickly be reminded of why after one ride on the tea cups with the kids. But, the beauty of traveling full time is being able to give the kids experiences like visiting the oldest theme park in America (note: we didn't actually know this until we arrived). One of our favorite things about our travels is seeing our kids' faces light up at certain moments and experiences.

People often say your kids are too young for this travel stuff; they won't remember any of it. Maybe they won't remember it BUT I will. I'll remember their laughter, their toothless smiles, their frolicking through epic landscapes, their late night chatter around the campfire, their hill bombs on their bikes, their canon ball competitions at the pool. And, I do think that they will remember these core memories. But, if not, these vlogs are meant to serve as visual memory recalls both for them and us.
