Micro RC Trophy Truck Customised Build - based on Orlandoo Hunter OH32X02

Описание: BlackSeaRC presents the third video in a series looking at the Orlandoo Hunter (OH) OH32X02 X-Roll Cage Series Trophy Truck. This is a hobby-grade 1:32 scale radio controlled (RC) micro off-road racer kit. It is one of the latest cell-phone size RC products from Orlandoo Hunter and was released in 2022.

The OH32X02 kit is an accurate representation of a real trophy truck with 4x2 drive configuration. It features a 3D printed roll cage style chassis, independent double wishbone front suspension, trailing arms with solid axle at the rear, metal bearings, coil spring shock absorbers and dampers at each wheel station, all-terrain tyres including two rear-mounted spare tyres, interior detailing and a pre-painted polycarbonate body (clear body version also available).

I wanted to build my trophy truck to replicate the race-proven RPM Offroad / Geiser Bros trophy truck. The parts used for this unique build and the customisations implemented are detailed below:

Basic parts:
Trophy Truck X-Roll Cage Series kit (Orlandoo Hunter OH32X02 KIT).
D4L electronics bundle, comprising D4L 2.4GHz radio transmitter handset, combined receiver/ESC (D401E), lighting group components, sound group components, 2.2g micro steering servo (AS0022), 3000rpm N30 geared brushed motor assembly (NR3000-B) and 7.4V 800mA mains battery charger (Orlandoo Hunter D4L).
7.4V 260mAh 2S 30C LiPo battery pack with PH 2.0 connector (Orlandoo Hunter LS7401-B).

Upgrade parts:
Metal servo saver for steering servo (Orlandoo Hunter MX0063).
Metal main driveshaft (Orlandoo Hunter MD5-350).
Metal-body front shock absorbers set (Orlandoo Hunter ME3-290X / ME5-275X).
Metal-body rear shock absorbers set (Orlandoo Hunter ME3-380X / ME5-395X).

Customisation parts and modifications:
M2 Nyloc nuts, x4 (AliExpress - HZYUEGOU) - for wheels.
X02 clear body set (Orlandoo Hunter SA0106).
X02 decal set (Orlandoo Hunter WP0011) - for front grille and lights.
RPM Offroad Short Course Truck decal set (MCI Racing, scaled to 1:28).
Pure Orange polycarbonate spray paint (Tamiya PS-62) - for body.
Black polycarbonate spray paint (Tamiya PS-5) - for body.
Fine Surface Primer spray paint (Tamiya 87064) - for sand board and fuel tank.
Black acrylic spray paint (Tamiya TS-14) - for sand board and fuel tank.
Chrome Silver acrylic paint (Tamiya X-11) - for fire extinguishers, fan blades and fuel tank cap.
Masking tape, 5mm and 10mm (Tamiya 87179 / 87034) - for body.
Adaptor cable PH 2.0 2-pin male to female, x2 (RiToEasysports) - for steering servo and battery.
Driver figure, modern style, 1:32 scale (Pioneer Slot Cars FD201571).
Hand-made driver’s seat using foam and black vinyl.
Hand-made black vinyl battery cover - for passenger side.
Battery pack mounted in passenger-side footwell.
Receiver/ESC module mounted at rear.
Power on/off switch secured to rear of Receiver/ESC module using double-sided tape (3M).

Notes:
Lighting group not used. Headlights/tail lights/indicators are not representative of a real trophy truck. However, it would be possible to install an aftermarket functioning lightbar in lieu of the simulated version.
Sound group not used. My aim was to hide all the electronics for ultimate scale realism and due to the driver figure and limited space, I decided not to install the speaker unit.
