Walter Carroll composed a number of collections of pieces for piano learners, grouped into themes books such as this one, The Countryside. They are all delightful to play and are really good at helping the learner make connections between the music and things around them.
This piece could be played faster but I like this tempo as it makes me think of the way raindrops start to fall, slowly at first, tapering off at the end, with just a few rain spatters to finish the piece.
