#58 I Turned Mica Powder Into Liquid Colorants (Micahols Test)

Описание: Most resin artists mix mica powder directly into their resin.

But I started wondering…

What would happen if the mica was already in liquid form before adding it?

So I experimented with mixing mica powder and alcohol to create liquid mica colorants. I started calling them Micahols.

The idea is simple.

The more mica you add, the stronger the pigment becomes.
Use less, and the color stays more transparent.

Instead of adjusting color inside the resin, you can control the pigment before it even touches the resin.

To test this idea, I dropped different Micahol colors into resin coasters to see how they spread and behave.

Would the colors disperse smoothly?
Would the pigment stay consistent?
And would this make coloring resin easier?

In this experiment I test several colors to see how they perform.

If you work with resin or pigments, this might be a new way to prepare your colorants.
