The World’s Tallest Gas Pump in Sapulpa, Oklahoma can be found in front of the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum. The museum commissioned the 66-foot tall gas pump to draw visitors off the road and into their space.
The Oklahoma roadside attraction is shaped like a vintage gas pump that would have been found at service stations across Route 66 in its heyday. At the top is an illuminated 14-foot globe that advertises the museum.
In 2026, Route 66 celebrates its 100th anniversary. Established in 1926, the iconic Mother Road is in its Centennial year, and I want to bring that celebration to you. Every day throughout 2026, I’ll be showcasing a different Route 66 attraction that you won't want to miss on your road trip.
