Your client is a pan-Asian Private Equity (PE) firm that is evaluating an investment into Rapid Buses, a manufacturer of buses in Malaysia.
The PE firm has approached you to help do an initial market sizing of the Malaysian bus market. If the market is attractive, the client will hire you to do a full-blown commercial due diligence (CDD) on the transaction.
A CDD basically entails understanding the opportunity of the investment across multiple dimensions to ascertain whether it will be a good investment for the PE firm.
