Presented by Isla St Clair this short clip is from a documentary filmed in August 2000, when thousands of pipers and drummers gathered in Edinburgh to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and play bagpipes.
The parade (also known as Millenium Pipes) includes the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Edinburgh Tattoo, Scottish Power Pipe Band, Strathclyde Police Pipe Band as well as solo champions Roddy MacLeod and Gordon Walker.
