LOCMAN quindi non poteva non dedicare una linea di orologi al proprio elemento naturale. Nasce così la collezione Mare: che infonde la sensazione dell’acqua sulla pelle e permette di portare con sé ovunque il ricordo delle onde. Anche in città.
Ma non c’è solo il nome evocativo. L’intera collezione è costruita con spirito “marino”: dall’estetica ai materiali, dall’utilizzo pratico fino all’impegno ecofriendly voluto dalla stessa LOCMAN. Segno distintivo della collezione Mare è l’immagine di uno squalo che spicca sul quadrante a ore 6: non una semplice decorazione, ma un vero e proprio riferimento culturale agli antichi popoli del Mediterraneo, per i quali lo squalo rappresentava l’idea di forza e di libertà. Un potente simbolo di protezione per i naviganti.

La collezione Mare inoltre permette a LOCMAN un’azione concreta a favore dell’ambiente. Parte dei proventi della vendita saranno infatti devoluti alla Fondazione Isola d’Elba, impegnata nella salvaguardia del territorio, e all’associazione ambientalista Marevivo, che lotta per la tutela del mare a livello nazionale e internazionale.

Mare is the Italian word for sea and the entire collection is designed with a “marine” spirit: from the aesthetics to the materials, the functionality and the eco-friendly commitment of LOCMAN itself. The distinctive feature of the Mare collection is the image of a shark that stands out against the dial at 6 o’clock: not simply a decoration, but a genuine cultural reference to the ancient peoples of the Mediterranean, for whom the shark represented the idea of strength and freedom. A powerful symbol of protection for seafarers.

The Mare collection also helps LOCMAN to promote environmental protection. Some of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Fondazione Isola d’Elba, which is committed to the preservation of the local area, and to the environmental association Marevivo, which works to conserve the sea on a national and international level.
