The beautiful Bushrangers Bay comprises a sandy and relatively large and isolated beach surrounded by basalt cliffs on the ocean side of the Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula.
This beach is quite secluded but has some fabulous views and great photo and video opportunities. Lots of birds and wildlife in the area, and the sand is relatively untouched. The water is crystal clear but swimming is not recommended as it is dangerous. This beach is unpatrolled and often hazardous due to strong rips and large waves.
It takes about 30-45 minutes to get to the beach from the Cape Schanck car park. The route is sandy but relatively easy except for some steep steps at the end near the beach.
It is a place of amazing beauty. I can definitely say it's one of the most stunning places on the Mornington Peninsula.
