May 16, 2019—The Simons Collaboration on the Localization of Waves presents a Short Course and Workshop in Quantum Mechanics and Semiconductors. Hosted by the University of California Santa Barbara and organized by UCSB faculty Dr. Claude Weisbuch and Dr. James S. Speck, the two day meeting brought together principal investigators with the collaboration and other minds across physics and math to share, learn, and discuss.
Friend of the Simons Wave Collaboration and National Taiwan University faculty Dr. Yuh-Renn Wu delivers a short course in landscape localization theory of disorder in nitride semiconductors, alloys and application to LED simulations.
