Drive from Cody, Wyoming To 7th Ranch RV Park near Crow Agency, Montana - Little Big Horn National Battlefield in 2019 Newmar Canyon Star. The opening song is an attempt at sarcasm. On June 25–26, 1876 General George A. Custer was told not to attack the Indian village on the Little Big Horn river who had a vastly superior force of Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho(and other tribes), estimated to be between 1,500 and 3,000 warriors with his force of 600–700 U.S. Army officers, soldiers, and scouts. Approximately 268 were killed and 55 wounded. Custer and his immediate detachment of 5 companies (about 210 men) were entirely wiped out. The battle was a decisive Native American victory.
