Camping and Hiking Angel Peak Scenic Area, New Mexico

In this video, I give you a look at the Angel Peak Scenic Area located in northwest New Mexico. A gem of an off the beaten path dry camping location. I show you the turn off into the area and a view of the dirt road leading to the camping and picnic areas.

The campsites are perched high above multicolored banded badlands with views of interesting rock formations. At over 6000 feet views extend many miles to the snow-capped mountain peaks in Colorado.

Angel Peak is a free campground run by the Bureau of Land Management. I show several of the picnic areas lining the canyon rim and our spot in the small 9 site campground.

I also take you along on a hike with the beagle and me on an undeveloped trail into the badlands leading to spectacular vistas.
