Circumcision
Circumcision is means removal of foreskin (skin covering the glans or head of penis). It can be done at any age and for multiple reasons.There are several benefits of it. It began as a religious custom but today it is done for many factors.

What is the foreskin?
The foreskin is a piece of skin that covers the round tip of the penis called glans penis. At the time of birth foreskin is completely attached to the glans. As baby growns, the foreskin gets separated from the glans and is able to be retracted, or pulled back to expose part of or entire glans. If the foreskin doesn’t get separated on time or its opening remains very tight, it is known as phimosis. Phimosis may require further intervention like or circumcision to correct it.
Is circumcision a common procedure?
Circumcision is the most common surgery performed in the world among males. In the United States, up to 60% of baby boys are circumcised and around the world, about 33%. Jewish and Muslim people perform circumcision as part of their religions.
At what age is circumcision performed?
