Part 3 - 1970 Land Rover - Time to Strip and Go Topless

Описание: In part 1 and 2 of the series (   • 1970 Land Rover Series 2a, 88" Rescued fro...  ) I bought this 1970 Land Rover Series 2a at a farm clearing auction. Picked the 4x4 up from a paddock in central New South Wales and brought it home on a car trailer. Was surprised to find that the engine wasn't locked up. After some fiddling, the engine started and ran beautifully.
After a bit more work, we got it to run constantly so we could then start work to see if it would drive.
When we picked it up, it was missing the rear axle half shaft and front 2 hubs. These were replaced, the clutch was fixed enough, brakes unlocked so finally, we could try and drive it. It drove ok-ish, but there's a ton of work that needs to be done to make it a reliable, daily classic, safe to explore country roads.
Next, we move onto stripping parts that we won't need and making it ready for fixing the stuff needed to return it to the road and 4WD tracks.
