Trexler Nature Preserve Gem of the Lehigh Valley

Описание: Over 1000 acres of open space in Lehigh County Pennsylvania lovingly preserved and maintained and open to the public. Miles of hiking and biking paths, fields, meadows, forests, scenic vistas, fishing, wildlife observation, and the list goes on. I was pleasantly enthralled by this gorgeous park that seems to have alittle bit of everything. Trexler is well known as the home of the Lehigh Valley Zoo, and also contains a large pasture for Bison and one for Elk as well. It was the vision of one Harry C. Trexler who initially purchased the land to conserve the dwindling populations of Bison, Elk, and White tail deer at the time and later willed the property to Lehigh County. Although the park is bounded on the perimeter by development in some spots it is large enough to create vast sweeping panoramas of the hilly terrain of the region giving the impression one is in a more remote location. I just loved this park and look forward to revisiting again in the future.
