There's a need for external vigilance on the issue of real-time electronic transmission of results because what was achieved yesterday at the Senate hearing is 50% of what the protesters and Nigerians asked for. What the Senate passed is a half-measure and questions the intention of Senators as to what they want to achieve with this specific amendment. The amendment passed a lot of powers to presiding officers, and I don't think that is the intention of the constitution.
