Designers who participated in the exhibition, “Redact, Rewrite, Reframe: Art and the News” present their work and discuss ongoing debates surrounding the subjectivity of the news and its constructed and ideological nature.
“Redact, Rewrite, Reframe: Art and the News” presents work by a selection of artists and designers utilizing images and materials from news media in distinctive ways, emphasizing global sociopolitical events of the past two decades. The exhibition is a timely exploration of the tropes presented to us daily through diverse news outlets, organized by ArtCenter Exhibitions and Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography (HMCT).
