Solo offshore sailing adventure on my 40ft yacht—fresh off a haul out and bottom job. After a quick stop in Charleston, I continue northbound in light wind conditions, making landfall at Southport, North Carolina via the Cape Fear River Inlet.
This video captures the reality of preparing a sailboat, offshore passagemaking, and the challenges of sailing solo on the U.S. East Coast. From long days at sea to navigating safe inlets, every passage is part of my journey toward future goals: sailing the Bahamas, exploring the Chesapeake, and one day crossing the Atlantic.
