An introduction to late Chosŏn period (1392-1910) genre painting, focusing on Kim Hongdo. Please note that the Kim Hongdo album discussed in this lecture is currently believed to be a late 19th century copy.
This lecture video was originally recorded in August 2014 for my HA269 Korean Art & Culture class. Students need to watch this video prior to class so we have more time during class for deeper discussion of the readings.
