Описание: Israel has struck 2,000 targets in Iran as the regional conflict enters its fifth day, with black smoke engulfing Tehran skies and thick smoke towers visible over West Tehran. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper described American forces hitting close to 2,000 sites, calling it the largest regional firepower buildup in a generation, nearly double the scale of the first day of 2003 Iraq shock and awe. Israeli airstrikes targeted missile launchers, a nuclear research site and leadership compound. A suspected Iranian drone hit the US consulate in Dubai causing a fire, though all personnel are accounted for. Three US embassies in the region have been closed. Iran has launched retaliatory strikes on Gulf states including ports in Fujairah and energy sites in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Qatar has halted LNG production whilst Saudi Arabia's Ras Tanura refinery remains shut. Donald Trump announced the US Navy may escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, though Iran has warned any such attempt would invite attack.
