American singer-songwriter Henry John Deutschendorf Jr aka 'John Denver' began singing in the 50’s, aged just 11, in folk clubs. In 1965 he joined a band then went solo in 1969 with RCA records. His song ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ got 'some' airplay, but it was this composition released in 1971 that gave him the big breakthrough. As an avid covers producer, here is the version i created.
