Clean your serger and avoid service fees. It’s simple to do and requires very little skill. Make your machine running as well as the day you brought it brand new out of the box.
It is so important to remember to thread your machine in the correct order. Also, do check you machine’s settings. You should never really have to alter the tension dials and if you do, it’s usually just one or two, and ever so slightly.
If you do not get the results without too much disruption, checklist;
Have you cleaned your machine recently?
Do you have new / correct needles in the machine for your fabric?
Are you using a good quality thread?
Are you threading the machine in the correct order?
Brother machines tend to have the factory settings for tension on 4
Singer, Kenmore and Janome, all tension settings on 3
