Описание: In this video, we will show you a top 10 list of the best sniper movies ever made. Military movies are always going to be a hit at cinemas because they allow us to look at one of the most base and dark elements of humanity, our ability to be violent and to harm our fellow man. And a particular sub-genre of the war movie which has really shone over the decades has been the one which has focused on snipers.

But then why wouldn’t it because in these figures we have such a great representation of both the good and bad within us all. After all, to be a successful sniper you have to have excellent control over every aspect of your body and your mind, to an almost superhuman level. But on the flipside of that, you also have to have that ability to take another person's life should the need arise.

And this friction, this duality which exists within the sniper, has been brilliantly explored in movies like 2014’s American Sniper, 2001’s Enemy at the Gates, and 2005’s Jarhead. That said, not all movies which explore this topic are war films in which the sniper is a protagonist. No, on occasion they can be the outright villain looking to harm our hero, as was the case in 2002’s Colin Farrell thriller Phone Booth. Still though, for the most part we like to look at the sniper on film as being a representative of good overall as what they’re doing is protecting us from the bad guys, even if they have to risk becoming a bad guy themselves in the process.
