Manaʻo from Kapali on "Honokōhau": HONOKŌHAU valley is located on the west side of MĀUI. Absolutely PŪPUKA. One of the most hydrologically significant hotspots in KO HAWAIʻI PAE ʻĀINA. Traditionally, her waters pulsated through approximately 5000 LOʻI that once blanketed the valley floor, revealing the essential lifeblood of her HOA ʻĀINA.
Today, HONOKŌHAU symbolizes the correlation between HAWAIIAN IDENTITY and the current day struggle for STREAM RESTORATION. MĀLAMA ʻĀINA is the quintessential forefront in the fight against the plantation system while delivering the wai into the gills of the ʻOʻOPU.
