Hello guys, Am Moses Manuel,
Let’s talk about contractual obligations
"The doctrine of privity means that a contract cannot, as a general rule, confer rights or impose obligations arising under it on any person except the parties to it." (GH Treitel, The Law of Contract)
Privity doctrine has it that only parties to the contract can, among other things, sue or be sued on the contract.
Strangers or third parties to the contract cannot benefit from the contract or have any obligations imposed on them on the same.
This is commonly referred to as the doctrine of privity of contract.
Listen to the lesson and let me know if you have any questions from any legal aspect
Cheers!
